Claudia Lemcke studied Piano and Voice in her native Germany.

With her 'warm and clear voice and a reliable sense of style' (Rheinische Post, July 2010), and 'her charming sound and directness of presentation' (Brantfort Expositor, Oct 2012) she has established herself as a versatile Mezzo Soprano and Contralto, equally at home in art song and oratorio.

Claudia has been a frequent soloist in Toronto and the GTA and has extensive choral and solo experience with several of Toronto's finest ensembles, such as Tafelmusik, Daniel Taylor's Theatre of Early Music, the Juno nominated Elora Festival Singers and Aradia just to name a few.

Solo appearances include recitals in Toronto, 'A Night Of Opera' in Brantford with the Grand River Chorus, 'Mozart's Messiah' with Kindred Spirits Orchestra, 'The Dublin Messiah' with Aradia, Arvo Pärt's 'Passio' with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and the Grand Philharmonic Chamber Singers as well as Scarlatti's 'Stabat Mater' with Vocalensemble Rastatt in Germany.

When she is not in Toronto, Claudia can either be found in Montréal, singing with La Chapelle de Québec under the baton of Bernard Labadie, or in Germany with 'Vocalensemble Rastatt' under the baton of Holger Speck with whom she recorded frequently for CARUS.
